About CapCorse.com

An independent guide to the island within the island.

CapCorse.com exists because Cap Corse deserves more than a page in a Corsica guidebook. It is an independent travel guide to the peninsula and its gateway towns, Bastia and Saint-Florent — written to be genuinely useful before you go and while you are on the road.

What we cover

  • The D80 loop: which way to drive it, how long it takes and where to stop.
  • The villages, harbours, towers, beaches and walks of the cape, stop by stop.
  • How to get here by ferry and plane, and how to get around.
  • Which tours and boat trips are worth booking, ranked honestly and updated as ratings change.
  • Where to stay, and when to come.

How we research

Practical details are checked against official and local sources — ferry companies, the airport, the tourist offices of Bastia, Cap Corse and Saint-Florent, the prefecture of Haute-Corse — and reviewed regularly. Tour ratings and review counts come directly from GetYourGuide; hotel data from Trip.com. Where a figure varies, such as a crossing time or a price, we give a range and say so, rather than pretending to a precision that does not exist.

Where we express an opinion, it is an opinion. We tell you when a tour is new and unproven, when a beach is better admired than swum from, and when a detour is not worth it on a short day.

How the site is funded

We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner and a Trip.com partner. If you book a tour or a room through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the only way this guide is funded — there is no advertising, no sponsored placements and no paid inclusion in any ranking. Read the full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Timetables change, restaurants close, roads are repaired. If something here is out of date or wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it. Write to us on the contact page.

Plan your days on the cape

Drive the corniche, then leave the car behind

The D80 shows you the cape from above; a boat shows you the coves, towers and white-sand beaches no road reaches. Compare boat trips, 4x4 days in the Agriates, wine tastings and Bastia walks — and book in a couple of taps.
